Gianluigi Buffon: 'Juventus should still qualify'

Gianluigi Buffon is confident that Juventus can still qualify for the second round despite being bottom of Group B.

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has insisted that his side should still reach the second round of the Champions League despite being bottom of Group B.

The Old Lady are just a point behind second-placed Galatasaray having played group favourites Real Madrid twice, with Buffon believing that the point earned in Tuesday's 2-2 draw with the Spaniards will be crucial at the end.

"Our situation is very similar to the one last season," UEFA.com quotes Buffon as saying. "I think we can regret other points we left along our path, not those against Real Madrid.

"Playing at the same level as them is not something many team can do. They have incredible players, every time they pass the midfield line you have to be worried. They have players who can score in any moment of the game."

Juve play Galatasaray and Copenhagen in their final two group games.
