Reading to re-sign Nicky Shorey

Nicky Shorey is reportedly expected to make a return to former club Reading for the new Premier League season.

Former West Bromwich Albion left-back Nicky Shorey is reportedly poised to rejoin Reading.

The 31-year-old has been a free agent since coming to the end of his contract with the Baggies at the close of the season.

The former Aston Villa defender has been open about his desire to find a new club and it appears that a free transfer to Reading is on the cards, according to Sky Sports News.

Shorey spent seven years at the Madejski Stadium before moving to Villa Park in 2008.
