Reading complete summer business

Reading boss Brian McDermott has revealed that the club have completed their summer transfer business.

The Royals completed the signings of Adrian Mariappa and Chris Gunter on Tuesday, and McDermott has claimed that his squad is now ready for the new season.

"We're done and dusted. Mariappa's a fantastic character who has done really well for Watford over a long period," he told reporters.

Reading won the Championship last season.
