Roman Pavlyuchenko agent downplays Reading move

Roman Pavlyuchenko's agent has downplayed rumours linking the Lokomotiv Moscow striker with a move to Reading.

Royals manager Brian McDermott is said to be considering a swoop for the former Tottenham Hotspur man, but Oleg Artemov has now dismissed such speculation.

"This is garbage, just information used to fill up space," Oleg Artemov told Sport-express.ru. "In a word, it is gossip."

Pavlyuchenko spent four years at White Hart Lane and is a proven goalscorer at Premier League level, breaking into double figures in each of his three full seasons there.
