Reading 2-0 Crystal Palace

Reading beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium in their final pre-season fixture.

Two goals in the space of two minutes from Pavel Pogrebnyak and Adam Le Fondre were enough for Reading to see off Crystal Palace at the Madejski Stadium this afternoon.

Jem Karacan, Jobi McAnuff and Jimmy Kebe were all missing for the Royals but it was new signing Pogrebnyak who broke the deadlock on 51 minutes.

Le Fondre added a second two minutes later to give Brian McDermott's side the win in their final friendly of the pre-season.

Reading make their return to the Premier League with an opening day fixture at home to Stoke City on August 18, whilst Crystal Palace entertain Watford a day earlier in the Championship.
