Steve Clarke: 'Reading in control against Bristol City'

Steve Clarke says that Reading were in control throughout their 2-0 victory over Bristol City.

Steve Clarke has said that Reading were in complete control during their Championship victory over Bristol City.

Nick Blackman and Garath McCleary scored in the opening 13 minutes as the Royals ran out 2-0 winners.

"To control any Championship game as we did today takes some doing and the team deserve enormous credit," Clarke told BBC Sport.

"We got ourselves in front early on and, while we could have had more goals, you won't find me complaining.

"I know Steve Cotterill was unhappy with our opening goal, but I was too far away to see if it was offside and people I have spoken to say it wasn't."

Clarke's opposite number Cotterill thought that Bristol City were unlucky to lose the match.
