Half-Time Report: Reading and Nottingham Forest fail to find breakthrough

Reading and Nottingham Forest's Championship clash at the Madejski Stadium remains goalless at half time after a quiet opening 45 minutes.

Pavel Pogrebnyak's header from Jordan Obita's corner set the early tone, before Ben Osborn fired a long-range strike wide of Adam Federici's goal.

However, it proved to be something of a false start as the game descended into a scrappy midfield battle, with few chances at either end.

Michail Antonio's wild strike from the edge of the box did not trouble Federici, while Simon Cox's sliced effort from a Chris Gunter cutback was as close as either side came during the remainder of the first half.
