Rangers have confirmed that former Leeds United defender Marius Zaliukas has been handed a trial with the club.
The 30-year-old Lithuanian had his contract with Leeds terminated by mutual consent on Tuesday.
Zaliukas is expected to begin training with the Gers on Thursday ahead of the team's friendly against Buckie Thistle.
However, manager Ally McCoist has not revealed whether the centre-back will play in that match.
Zaliukas was close to moving to Ibrox last summer before opting to join Championship side Leeds from Hearts.
