Rangers fail to replace Nikica Jelavic

Glasgow Rangers have failed to secure a replacement for Everton-bound Nikica Jelavic.

The Croatian put the finishing touches on his move to Goodison Park earlier this evening for a fee believed to be around £5.5m.

However, manager Ally McCoist has been unable to reinvest that money on another striker.

Reported bids were launched for St Johnstone's Francisco Sandaza and Norwich City's Grant Holt, but neither were successful.
