Everton hold Nikica Jelavic talks

Everton are reportedly in talks with Rangers over the signing of striker Nikica Jelavic.

The Premier League side tabled a bid for the Croatian on Sunday afternoon.

Gers chairman Craig Whyte is believed to want around £8m for the 26-year-old.

The Toffees are expected to use some of the money from their sale of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov for the move.

West Ham United recently had a £7m bid rejected for the player, who has scored 14 goals in 22 SPL appearances this season.
