Rangers hit six at East Stirling

Rangers have increased their lead at the top of the Scottish Third Division with a dominant display at East Stirling.

Lee McCulloch opened the scoring for the visitors through a penalty after Dean Shiels was brought down in the box.

Philipp Zufle was sent off for East Stirling for a challenge on Kevin Kyle.

Andrew Little doubled Rangers' advantage but Kevin Turner got one back for the home side before half-time.

East Stirling continued to look threatening in the second half but Rangers increased their lead through Lee Wallace before Paul Quinn put away a penalty for East Stirling.

Ally McCoist's side made the extra man count as the home side tired. Kyle added Rangers' fourth, with Kal Naismith quickly following with the fifth.

A late penalty gave Rangers their sixth after Jamie McKernon handled the ball, Lee McCulloch adding his second of the afternoon.

The win increases Rangers lead over second-placed Elgin to five points.
