Rangers forward Josh Windass named Scottish Premiership Player of the Month

Rangers star Josh Windass claims the Scottish Premiership Player of the Month gong for February.

Rangers forward Josh Windass has been named as the Scottish Premiership's Player of the Month for February.

The former Accrington Stanley star was handed the gong after scoring five goals last month, including a hat-trick in the Gers' 5-3 victory over Hamilton Academical.

Windass, who recently signed a one-year extension at Ibrox to keep him there until 2021, was also on target in Rangers' recent 3-2 defeat to Celtic in the Old Firm derby.

The Englishman has scored 12 goals for the Glasgow giants this season, helping his side climb to second place in the league table.

Elsewhere, Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke was named as the Scottish Premiership's Manager of the Month for February.
