Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray poised to step down

Rangers want chairman to step down?

Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray could reportedly be forced out of the club by the Scottish outfit's board.

Murray was appointed as the club's chairman following the takeover from Charles Green's consortium last year after the club fell into administration.

Murray could be ousted following a board meeting on Monday when members revealed that they would prefer the chairman to step down due to an internal investigation into Green's links to former owner Craig Whyte, according to BBC Scotland.

Green left his post as chief executive last month.
