Administrators have ruled Glasgow Rangers out of European competition for next season.
The club is unlikely to reach UEFA's Saturday, March 31 deadline to register for next season's campaign.
Paul Clark attributed the decision to the likelihood that the Gers would not be out of administration by the end of the month, despite Craig Whyte's claim that it would be.
Rangers' failure to pay off their taxes and inability to meet other UEFA financial criteria is also behind their exclusion.
