QPR make Steve Mandanda enquiry?

Queens Park Rangers have reportedly made an approach to Marseille for their goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

The 29-year-old has been tipped to depart the Stade Velodrome this summer, with Italian club Roma said to be among those interested in his signature.

However, Harry Redknapp has identified the French international as the ideal candidate to provide competition between the posts for Rob Green, according to L'Equipe.

Mandanda, who earlier in his career had an unsuccessful trial with Aston Villa, joined Marseille from Le Havre in 2007.
