Queens Park Rangers weigh up January bid for Tottenham's Jermain Defoe

QPR keep tabs on Jermain Defoe

Queens Park Rangers are believed to be keeping an eye on Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe.

The frontman has failed to cement a place in Harry Redknapp's starting lineup since the arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor and tends to miss out on a spot to Rafael van der Vaart.

Rangers boss Neil Warnock is understood to be in the market for a forward and will consider tabling an £8m bid for the England international, according to the Daily Mail.

A number of Premier League clubs including Everton, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland are also reportedly interested in the 29-year-old.
