Michael Doughty signs new QPR deal

Midfielder Michael Doughty has signed a new two-year contract with Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

The 22-year-old's previous deal was due to expire at the end of the season, but he has impressed R's boss Chris Ramsey in his seven appearances this season to earn a new deal.

"I am really settled here and feel I am improving every day," Doughty told the club website. "I am also getting the opportunities to display myself, and I am chomping at the bit for some more.

"I have been given far more opportunities than I have been used to previously here, and now I really feel part of the first-team set-up."

Doughty is a product of the QPR academy and made his senior debut at the age of 19 in January 2011.
