Chris Ramsey: 'Austin might stay at QPR'

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey has revealed that the club have received offers for Charlie Austin, but claimed that the striker could yet begin the new season at Loftus Road.

Austin has been repeatedly linked with a move away since the R's were relegated at the end of last season, but the Londoners are believed to be looking for around £15m for the striker.

"There have been offers," admitted Ramsey to Sky Sports News. "A player of Charlie's ability, there will always be speculation.

"At the moment, there has been nothing concrete. We've had offers that we've rejected, and we've had offers that Charlie himself has not been happy to take on.

"At the moment, he's a QPR player and he's working hard in training. I'm having the idea that he will be here into the season. If he is here during the season then he is going to be someone that we want to use."

QPR edged out Dundee United 2-1 in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday evening.
