QPR vs. Hull City - prediction, team news, lineups

Queens Park Rangers will look to clinch back-to-back victories on Tuesday when they play host to Hull City in a Championship contest.

The visitors, meanwhile, will attempt to continue their promising start to the season after losing just one of their opening six league games.

Match preview

QPR have experienced a mixed start to the Championship season, collecting eight points from their opening six league games.

In their second Championship match of the season, the R's beat Middlesbrough 3-2, but they were unable to build upon that result, failing to win their next four games in all competitions.

However, they ended their winless run at the weekend with another 3-2 victory as they took the lead on three occasions to beat Watford.

Ilias Chair and Chris Willock saw their strikes cancelled out by Ken Sema and Joao Pedro respectively before Albert Adomah scored the winner in the 70th minute.

Having taken four points from their last two Championship games, QPR will look to avoid defeat for a third consecutive game on Tuesday.

While QPR currently occupy 11th place, Hull are sat in third position with one point separating them from league leaders Reading.

They began the season with a four-game unbeaten run in the league - which included two victories - before losing 5-2 away to West Bromwich Albion.

However, they bounced back in another entertaining encounter at the weekend, beating Coventry City 3-2 to begin the campaign with three consecutive home victories.

Matty Godden cancelled out Oscar Estupinan's opener, but the Hull forward grabbed a couple more goals to wrap up his hat-trick, while giving his side a two-goal lead.

Shota Arveladze's side held on to claim all three points despite Coventry pulling a goal back through Godden, and they will now turn their attention to Tuesday's contest where they will attempt to clinch their first win of the season.

Team News

The hosts are unable to call upon Jake Clarke-Salter and Taylor Richards, who are sidelined due to hamstring and knee injuries respectively.

Despite coming off the bench to score the winner on Saturday, Adomah may have to settle for a place on the bench, with Michael Beale set to name an unchanged side.

After scoring in all three of his appearances this term, Willock will attempt to continue his fine goalscoring form on Tuesday.

As for the visitors, they are unable to call upon Ozan Tufan, Brandon Fleming, Dogukan Sinik and Billy Chadwick, who are missing due to injury issues.

Vaughn Covil is also a doubt after being withdrawn in the first half on Saturday, and the 25-year-old could be replaced by Andy Cannon if he is not fit enough for Tuesday's game.

Estupinan has scored all of Hull's last five goals, and the 25-year-old will provide the main goal threat for the visitors.

Queens Park Rangers possible starting lineup:

Dieng; Laird, Dunne, Dickie, Paal; Field, Johansen, Dozzell, Chair, Willock; Dykes

Hull City possible starting lineup:

Ingram; Jones, Greaves, Figueiredo; Coyle, Slater, Cannon, Woods, Elder; Estupinan, Tetteh

We say: Queens Park Rangers 2-2 Hull City

Hull have won all three of their home games this season, but are yet to win on the road, and we think that they will settle for a point in Tuesday's meeting with QPR.
