Townsend: "We need three points"

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Andros Townsend has described this afternoon's Premier League meeting with Everton as "a massive game" for the club.

The West London outfit are seven points adrift of safety and in desperate need of a win at Goodison Park to rekindle their hopes of survival.

A late Shaun Maloney goal denied the Hoops all three points at Loftus Road last Sunday, but Townsend said that the team will fight until the end.

"The players aren't giving up," said the 21-year-old, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. "We need three points, definitely.

"That would leave us on 27 points and then we've got two six pointers against Reading and Stoke coming up. The game against Everton is a massive game."

QPR won 1-0 in this fixture last season.
