Sandro's three-match ban does not include Queens Park Rangers first-team fixtures

Sandro will not serve first-team ban

The Football Association has confirmed that Sandro's red card in an Under-21 match will not carry into his first-team fixtures with Queens Park Rangers.

The 25-year-old was sent off during an Under-21s match against Bristol City on Monday afternoon after grabbing the throat of City's Jake Andrews.

The Brazilian, who reacted angrily to Andrews's tackle, has been banned for three non-first-team matches, but is free to continue his return to Premier League action following a lengthy injury layoff.

The suspension will come into force from March 9.
