Harry Redknapp slams referee following Wigan Athletic draw

Queens Park Ranger boss Harry Redknapp hits out at referee Michael Naylor for missing an alleged foul during his team's goalless draw with Wigan Athletic.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has criticised referee Michael Naylor following his side's 0-0 draw with Wigan Athletic in the Championship.

The Hoops boss believes that Wigan goalkeeper Lee Nicholls should have been penalised for an alleged foul on striker Andrew Johnson late in the game.

"The goalie only pushed him over, that's in the rules is it?" Sky Sports News quotes Redknapp as saying.

"You can do that, can you? Run out of the goal and push the striker over and not give a foul away? Must be a new game we're playing.

"I think the only person who didn't see it was the referee, wasn't it? How can you not see that? What's he fallen over for, Andy Johnson? He's took the ball around the keeper, he's surely not going to fall over unless he gets pushed over."

The draw leaves QPR in third place in the Championship, with Wigan 10 places below them in 13th.
