Harry Redknapp admits Queens Park Rangers goalscoring problem

Redknapp admits QPR goalscoring problem

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that his side are struggling in front of goal after they failed to score for the third successive Championship game.

The Hoops fell to fourth in the table after being held to a stalemate by Watford at Vicarage Road, having also drawn blanks in defeats to Leicester City and Nottingham Forest over the festive period.

With leading marksman Charlie Austin injured, attacking midfielder Niko Kranjcar was asked to play in a more advanced role and Redknapp thought that the Croatian did admirably in a game that he feels was dominated by Rangers.

"We've got problems scoring goals at the moment," Redknapp told the club's official website. "I played Niko Kranjcar in that position and thought we played some good football.

"I thought we kept the ball well today and Niko did well in a difficult position where he hasn't played before. I thought we deserved to win the game. There was only one team in it in terms of possession."

QPR have only the 19th best goalscoring record in the division this season.
