Queens Park Rangers announce details of a new training ground facility, following a bid to purchase land at the Warren Farm.

Queens Park Rangers have announced details of a new training ground facility, following a bid to purchase land at the Warren Farm.

The R's will occupy the new 63 acre site at the start of the 2013-14 season, with club chairman Tony Fernandes admitting his delight at the capture.

"We are absolutely ecstatic and must thank everyone involved in the process, especially David Leed (CYD Projects Ltd) who oversaw the bid, for their tremendous support," said Fernandes.

"This decision means we are now in a position to build a new state-of-the-art facility which will enable us to attract, retain and train world class talent.

"The community package that will accompany this facility will additionally deliver great benefits for those in our local boroughs. We said when we arrived here that we wanted to build this club for the future and this is another huge step in the right direction."

The facility will provided first team and academy pitches, as well as a covered dome, outdoor 3G artificial pitches and ground keeping management facilities.
