Man City target Sergio Ramos?

Manchester City are reportedly preparing to make a move for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos next summer.

The 27-year-old, who has been capped 114 times by Spain at senior international level, has three and a half years remaining on his current contract at the Bernabeu.

However, his deal includes a £41m release clause, which is believed to have attracted the attention of Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, as well as the Premier League title favourites.

Furthermore, rumours are circulating in Spain that Ramos is unsettled in Madrid because he wants a pay rise.

According to The People, City boss Manuel Pellegrini hopes that this will enable him to sign the player for a cut-price fee of around £32.5m.

The paper also claims that City intend to offer Ramos wages in the region of £7.2m a year.
