Ibrahimovic plays down Premier League move

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played down a potential move to the Premier League by insisting that he has missed his opportunity because of his age.

The Sweden captain, who has been linked with a move to England in the past, has won major titles in Italy, Spain and now in France with PSG.

However, the 31-year-old believes that he is too old for a switch to a club in the English top tier.

"To come to England? My time has passed," Ibrahimovic told BBC Sport. "I am above 30, I have a good relationship with PSG, with the team. I feel that I can bring out all my qualities at PSG. I have a big responsibility also at PSG. So in my mind, no.

"But then you never know what happens in football. When I went to Barcelona, I was living my dream.

"In my head I was there for five years. In the end I was there for only one. So every time I plan my future, I change it. So better to take one day at a time."

Ibrahimovic will be in action on Friday when PSG travel to Bordeaux.
