Agent: 'Gregory van der Wiel wants new Paris Saint-Germain deal'

Paris Saint-Germain defender Gregory van der Wiel is keen to extend his contract with the club, according to his agent.

The agent of Paris Saint-Germain defender Gregory van der Wiel has claimed that his client wants a new contract with the club.

The 26-year-old has become a key player for the French Champions since his arrival from Ajax in 2012.

He has two seasons left on his current deal with the club and his representative Mino Raiola has revealed that talks over an extension have taken place.

"PSG are very happy with his performances and Gregory feels valued," Raiola told De Telegraaf.

"Talks are continuing with the club. They will be discussed together after the transfer window when it is a bit quieter."

Van der Wiel has won 37 caps for the Netherlands national side.
