Paris Saint-Germain denied win by last-gasp Anthony Martial equaliser

Anthony Martial levels the scores in stoppage time to earn Monaco a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain.

Anthony Martial scored the equaliser in the second minute of stoppage time as AS Monaco held Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday night.

PSG started impressively, and could have been ahead in the early stages had Marco Verratti managed to keep his shot from drifting over after being played in by Lucas Moura.

It was the hosts who dominated possession for long spells of the first half, but Monaco managed to threaten on the break, with Lucas Ocampos firing over from the edge of the box.

Laurent Blanc watched his side miss two great chances just before the interval as Moura sliced wide moments before Edinson Cavani headed over from Maxwell's cross.

The game opened up in the second half as Monaco's confidence grew, but PSG continued to look dangerous as substitute Jean-Christophe Bahebeck tested Danijel Subasic from a tight angle.

Monaco enjoyed an extended spell on top as they tried their luck with a flurry of efforts from distance, the closest of which saw Geoffrey Kondogbia curl just wide of the post.

However, it would be PSG who struck what looked to be a crucial first blow in the 71st minute when a counter-attack resulted in Bahebeck crossing the ball for Moura, who had the simple task of tapping in from close range.

There would be a late twist, though, as Martial took advantage of some sloppy defending from David Luiz to poke home an equaliser with one of the final kicks of the game.
