Preview: Paris Saint-Germain vs. Guingamp

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Ligue 1 clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Guingamp in the French capital.

Paris Saint-Germain will hope to kickstart their league season this weekend when they welcome newly-promoted Guingamp to the French capital.

The Ligue 1 champions splashed the cash in the summer, but have thus far struggled to find their best form with two draws and a win from their opening three matches of the campaign.

They currently sit eighth in the table, four points behind the leaders Marseille, but Laurent Blanc's side remain the favourites to lift the trophy once more this season.

Guingamp, meanwhile, had suffered back-to-back defeats to Marseille and Saint-Etienne on their return to the top flight, but they picked up all three points against Lorient last time out.

The home side have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match and could therefore name the same team that picked up the three points against Nantes last time out.

Italian midfielder Marco Verratti is pushing for a start, however, while Lucas Moura could also come into the side at the expense of Thiago Motta.

Veteran striker Cedric Faure remains on the sidelines for Guingamp, while Gregory Cerdan is also expected to miss out due to personal reasons. However, there will be a start for Mustapha Yatabare, who scored twice in their win over Lorient last weekend.

Recent form:

PSG: DDW
Guingamp: LLW

Possible lineups:

PSG: Sirigu; Van der Wiel, Alex, Thiago Silva, Maxwell; Verratti, Pastore, Matuidi; Lavezzi, Cavani, Ibrahimovic

Guingamp: Samassa; Pereira, Sorbon, Lemaitre, Kerbrat; Beauvue, Sankhare, Mathis, Giresse; Yatabare, Mandanne

Sports Mole says: 3-0
