Report: PSG turn to Laudrup after AVB snub

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made contact with Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup about taking charge of the club.

The Ligue 1 champions' current boss Carlo Ancelotti is widely expected to become the new head coach at Real Madrid, after Jose Mourinho left the Santiago Bernabeu to join Chelsea earlier this month.

The French outfit were believed to be keen on appointing Tottenham Hotspur chief Andre Villas-Boas to the role, but the Portuguese has apparently turned down the club's advances in order to stay at White Hart Lane.

However, PSG have now turned their attention to Laudrup, whose relationship with the Swans hierarchy continues to worsen, according to L'Equipe.

The Dane's future in Wales has been cast into doubt in recent weeks, following a fallout over the club's summer transfer plans.

PSG were also thought to be eager on recruiting Gus Hiddink for the role, but have admitted that they are unlikely to prise him away from his current position at Anzhi Makhachkala.
