Neymar 'being paid £88,000 a day at Paris Saint-Germain'

Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly pay superstar forward Neymar £32m a year in wages as part of the deal to sign him from Barcelona during the summer.

The 25-year-old made the surprise decision to swap Camp Nou for the Parc des Princes in August after his £198m release clause was triggered.

A further insight into the transfer has now been given by Der Spiegel after the German publication obtained leaked documents.

Neymar is said to earn £88,000 a day in the French capital, yet that is not enough to make him the world's best-paid player as Shanghai Shenhua striker Carlos Tevez earns even more.

PSG, who dropped points in Ligue 1 for the first time at the weekend in Neymar's absence, will pay the Brazil international £160m over the duration of his five-year contract should he see it through.
