The French federation of the blind and visually impaired criticises Zlatan Ibrahimovic over his lavish income.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been criticised by the French federation of the blind and visually impaired (FAF) over his salary.

The organisation's president Vincent Michel hit out at the Swedish international for taking home enough money to fund the FAF each year.

"The question we want to ask is simple: in what kind of society do we want to live?" said Michel.

"The one where money is king that crushes everything in its path and in particular the weak? Or do we want to live in a society more just, more human, respectful and caring of individuals and of progress for everyone?

"Mr Zlatan Ibrahimovic... Do you know that with your yearly salary, you could fully-fund the Institute's Vision, its 250 researchers and personnel who work in the department of research on diseases of the vision?"

The FAF releases an annual calendar called La bourse ou la vue stressing the role of money in society. Ibrahimovic featured on the February page of this year's edition.

PSG pays the forward more than €1m (£800,000) a month.
