Serge Aurier "proud" of Paris Saint-Germain move

PSG right-back Serge Aurier expresses his pride at sealing a permanent move to the club, having spent the last season on loan from Toulouse.

Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier has expressed his pride at sealing a permanent move to the Ligue 1 champions.

The Ivory Coast international had been on loan from Toulouse since last summer, but PSG chose to trigger the option to buy clause in his contract earlier today in order to secure his services on a permanent basis.

Aurier praised the "exceptional" work that was being done at the club and promised to do his utmost to help them achieve success both domestically and in Europe.

"The project here at Paris Saint-Germain is exceptional. I am enjoying [a] magnificent season, both on an individual and team level," the 22-year-old told the club's official website.

"I am very proud that the club is again showing its confidence in me. I will continue to progress to help the team reach the summits of the game, both in France and Europe."

Aurier has made 14 appearances in all competitions for PSG this season, scoring one goal and helping the club to the Coupe de la Ligue title.
