Paris Saint-Germain owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has declared Salvatore Sirigu a "remarkable man" after the goalkeeper signed a new contract at Parc des Princes.
The deal will keep the Italian with the Ligue 1 champions until 2018, and the PSG chief said that he was delighted to have Sirigu on board.
He told the club's official website: "We are very proud to extend the contract of Salvatore, who is an outstanding goalkeeper and a remarkable man.
"He is a symbol of the Paris Saint-Germain project, which is to build over a period one of the most successful sides in Europe."
Sirigu joined PSG from Palermo in 2011.
