Saturday's Ligue 1 football predictions including Lens vs. PSG

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Lens vs. Paris Saint-Germain.

Marseille vs. Brest (Saturday, 4.00pm)

A pair of Ligue 1 sides in scintillating form at the moment will face each other on Saturday at the Stade Velodrome as Marseille host Brest.

Les Olympiens moved into second place in the table thanks to a 1-0 win over Nantes, while Les Pirates are on their best run in team history, having now won five in a row following their 1-0 victory versus Saint-Etienne.

We say: Marseille 1-0 Brest

You have to be good to be lucky but also lucky to be good, and Brest were very fortunate to come away with all three points versus Les Verts on Wednesday as Saint-Etienne hit the woodwork twice in the final couple of minutes, and they got a break on the penalty decision in a game where they did not create a lot of opportunities.

This could be a match a keep away for Marseille, who are beginning to play up to their potential, and even though they have not scored a lot in recent games, the quality is there for them to win this match.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Lille vs. Troyes (Saturday, 6.00pm)

The reigning French champions in the top flight will face the Ligue 2 winners from a season ago, as Lille host Troyes at Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Saturday.

Les Dogues scored on their only two targeted efforts Wednesday to extend their unbeaten run to six straight matches in all competitions, while ESTAC put an end to their four-game winless streak by beating Lorient 2-0.

We say: Lille 2-1 Troyes

Troyes have shown that they can compete with the top sides in this league, but they struggle to maintain the high intensity needed at this level for 90 minutes.

Lille have been uncharacteristically poor defensively early on in this campaign, already conceding as many goals (23) as they did in their championship triumph last season, although they have scored in their previous eight matches in all competitions and should have enough firepower to get past Troyes.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Lens vs. PSG (Saturday, 8.00pm)

As the 2020-21 Ligue 1 season heads towards its winter break, runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain travel north to the Stade Bollaert-Delelis to take on Lens.

The hosts' form has worsened in recent weeks but they remain fifth in the table, just three points off second, but 15 behind their upcoming opponents.

We say: Lens 1-2 Paris Saint-Germain

Lens have been performing admirably this campaign but have hit a poor spell of form at just the wrong time to be taking on PSG. The Parisians may still be missing some important players, but we are backing them to produce enough to gain a narrow away victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
