Laurent Blanc concerned by Zlatan Ibrahimovic knee injury

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc admits that he is concerned that a trans-Atlantic flight could hamper Zlatan Ibrahimovic recovery from a knee injury.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc has admitted that he is worried the knee injury sustained by Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the Trophee des Champions could be made worse by the flight back to France.

The French champions beat Coupe de France holders Lyon 2-0 in the match in Montreal, during which the Swedish international took a blow to the knee, which has left him a doubt for the Ligue 1 opener against Lille on Friday.

The former France international said at his post-match press conference: "Five minutes before the end of the game, when he kicked the ball, he felt some pain.

"What is annoying me is that we have to stay 10 hours in a plane. That's not the best way to get better. The medical staff will work with him. I hope there is no issue to come."

Edinson Cavani and Serge Aurier scored the goals for PSG.
