Blaise Matuidi praises Paris Saint-Germain performance against Barcelona

Blaise Matuidi reveals his delight following Paris Saint-Germain's 3-2 win over Barcelona in the Champions League.

Blaise Matuidi has praised Paris Saint-Germain for proving that they can rise to the occasion in big matches following the 3-2 win over Barcelona.

Laurent Blanc's side have faced heavy criticism for their form in Ligue 1 this season, but Matuidi believes that the Champions League success will boost their confidence when they return to domestic action.

"We played a great game against a great team. It's a great achievement," the French midfielder, who scored PSG's third goal on Tuesday night, told BeIn Sport. "We showed that we can respond in the big games.

"Now, the strength of the big teams is to play at that level every weekend and we will have to do this in the championship because we have to be at the top."

PSG return to action against Monaco on Sunday.
