Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz: 'Lionel Messi the best of all time'

Paris Saint-Germain defender David Luiz has dubbed Lionel Messi the best player of all time after the striker helped Barcelona to a 3-1 win against the French side in the Champions League.

The former Chelsea man described the Argentina international as "the best player ever" after watching him cancel out Zlatan Ibrahimovic's opener and put his team on course for victory.

"It's the efficiency that made the difference," Luiz told Canal +. "They were better than us; they have three huge forwards. Messi is fantastic, the best player ever.

"Barca also have a smart head coach and other great players."

PSG still progressed to the knockout phase of the competition as Group F runners-up despite the defeat, but face a tough test against a group winner in the last 16.
