Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has suggested that his team will need to improve in midfield as they look to push on in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season.
The Parisians have already qualified for the knockout stages of the European showpiece and are only one point behind current domestic league leaders Marseille, but Blanc has alluded towards the importance of his side's midfield as they prepare to face Lille on Wednesday.
"The heart of the game is a very important sector. We are less dominant in that area than last season," said Blanc, according to FourFourTwo.
"Marco [Verratti] is back in the group. He trained for two days. He was the victim of a delicate injury.
"He had to be careful because he is a young player. Obviously, all is well now. He is part of a group of players not necessarily ready to play 90 minutes."
PSG currently hold 33 points in the Ligue 1 table, having so far gone unbeaten in the French top flight.
