Portland Timbers 2-1 Chicago Fire

Portland Timbers have won only their third match of the season with a 2-1 victory over Chicago Fire at the Jeld-Wen Field.

The hosts opened the scoring on 20 minutes when Eric Brunner converted from close range.

Chicago were level five minutes before half time as Jalil Anibaba found space in the area to find the far corner.

However, Portland regained the lead in fortunate circumstances soon after the restart thanks to Logan Pause's own goal.
