Port Vale to enter administration

League Two side Port Vale will enter administration on Friday for the second time in their history.

The club's major creditors Stoke-on-Trent City Council have agreed to fund the administration costs with a £600,000 loan.

The request to go into administration was made earlier on Tuesday and the application will be heard by the High Court on Friday.

The club face Burton Albion in the league on Tuesday evening.
