Tommy Rowe keen on Leeds United switch

Rowe keen on Leeds move

Peterborough United chairman Barry Fry has confirmed that Tommy Rowe is keen to secure a move to Leeds United.

Fry had earlier stated that the Yorkshire club could not afford to sign the 24-year-old midfielder.

However, he has warned that the club will not let Rowe go until a fee is agreed.

"The player and his agent have expressed an interest and they have spoken to [Leeds manager] Brian [McDermott]," Fry told BBC Radio Leeds.

"So there is a willingness for the player to join Leeds, definitely.

"But until a transfer fee and a package can be sorted out then it won't happen and the player's aware of that and if he has to stay with us."

Rowe has made 156 appearances for Peterborough since joining the club from Stockport County in 2009.
