Peterborough United agree fee with Newport County for Conor Washington

Peterborough United have agreed a fee with Newport County for the transfer of striker Conor Washington.

The 21-year-old, who has scored seven goals in 32 appearances for Newport this season, will hold talks with Posh on Monday.

If the deal goes through as planned, then Shaun Jeffers will head to Rodney Parade in part-exchange.

Jeffers has found the net three times in 13 first-team appearances for Peterborough since arriving from Coventry City in July.
