Both Osasuna and Valencia will be aiming to post their first victories of the 2025-26 La Liga campaign when they lock horns at El Sadar Stadium on Sunday night.
Osasuna opened their new league season with a 1-0 defeat to title hopefuls Real Madrid, while Valencia's campaign started with a 1-1 draw at home to Real Sociedad.
Match preview
Osasuna finished ninth in Spain's top flight last season on 52 points, and they only just missed out on a spot in the Conference League playoff round to Rayo Vallecano.
Los Rojillos will again be expecting to launch a European challenge this term, and they can take plenty from their performance in gameweek one of the new campaign, suffering a narrow defeat to Real Madrid.
Osasuna have been incredibly quiet during this summer's transfer window, only making two signings, with Victor Munoz joining Real Madrid Castilla, while Valentin Rosier has arrived on a free transfer from Leganes.
Jesus Areso has been the team's biggest departure, joining Athletic Bilbao, while four players have left on free transfers, but the bulk of their key players have remained.
Alessio Lisci is in charge of Osasuna, with the 39-year-old arriving towards the end of June, and it will be fascinating to see how he performs at the club following spells with Levante and Mirandes.
Valencia, meanwhile, opened their 2025-26 La Liga campaign with a 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad, with Diego Lopez on the scoresheet for Los Che before Takefusa Kubo levelled the scores.
Carlos Corberan's side finished 12th in Spain's top flight last season, six points off the European spots, and there is certainly enough talent in the squad to push for a European spot this term.
Los Che are six-time Spanish champions, while they were fourth as recent as 2018-19, but a spot in the Champions League for the 2026-27 campaign is surely beyond this group of players.
Valencia have been busy during this summer's transfer window, with Julen Agirrezabala, Arnaut Danjuma and Dani Raba among the players to have moved to Mestalla since the end of last season.
Los Che's biggest outgoing has been Cristhian Mosquera to Arsenal, while Yarek Gasiorowski and Fran Perez are also among the players to have departed during the current window.

Team News
Osasuna will be without the services of Abel Bretones following his red card against Real Madrid last time out.
Iker Benito is also a major doubt due to an injury problem, but the home side are otherwise in strong shape, and there should once again be a spot in the final third of the field for Ante Budimir.
The club's two summer signings Rosier and Munoz are also in line to start, while Aimar Oroz is again set to feature as the number 10 for the home side in Sunday's clash.
As for Valencia, Alberto Mari and Thierry Correia will miss the contest due to injury issues.
Raba is expected to feature alongside Hugo Duro in the final third of the field this weekend, while Jose Gaya and Pepelu are set to be notable starters for the six-time Spanish champions.
There was a host of speculation surrounding Javi Guerra's future earlier this summer, with Manchester United thought to be keen, but the Spaniard has since signed a new contract, and he will continue in a forward area for Valencia.
Osasuna possible starting lineup:
Herrera; Rosier, Catena, Boyomo, Cruz; Torro, Moncayola; Garcia, Oroz, Munoz; Budimir
Valencia possible starting lineup:
Agirrezabala; Foulquier, Tarrega, Copete, Gaya; Rioja, Pepelu, Guerra, Lopez; Raba, Duro
We say: Osasuna 1-1 Valencia
Both La Liga matches between the two sides last season finished level, and we are predicting another stalemate here, with the points potentially being shared in a 1-1 draw.
