Mitroglou extends contract with Olympiacos

Olympiacos striker Konstantinos Mitroglou has extended his contract with the club amid interest from the Premier League.

Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea were said to be tracking the 25-year-old striker, who is now tied to the Greek side until 2017.

The new deal is also rumoured to have inflated the player's buyout clause of €8m (£6.6m), according to Sky Sports News.

This is the second time that Mitroglou has extended his contract this term, with his previous agreement due to expire in 2016.

Olympiacos manager Jose Miguel Michel has previously admitted that he faces a struggle keeping Mitroglou at the club despite his long-term contract.
