Half-Time Report: Swindon Town cruising at home to Notts County

Swindon cruising at home to Notts

Swindon Town are on course to climb into the League One playoff places after goals from Nile Ranger and Dany N'Guessan gave them a 2-0 half-time lead over Notts County.

Robins midfielder Alex Pritchard, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, was the star performer of the opening 45 minutes and helped the hosts move into an early advantage at the County Ground.

His corner was met powerfully at the near post by Ranger and the ball found the far corner, despite Mustapha Dumbuya's best attempts to clear it off the line.

Swindon's position in the match was strengthened when they added a second from the penalty spot before the half-hour, with Dumbuya again in the thick of the action.

The Notts right-back brought down Nathan Byrne with a sliding challenge in the box, allowing N'Guessan to increase Swindon's cushion with his fourth goal in five games from the spot.
