Liam Trotter returns to Bolton Wanderers

Liam Trotter has returned to his parent club Bolton Wanderers following a loan stint with Nottingham Forest.

The midfielder joined the Tricky Trees on a one-month deal in October, which was then extended by a further four weeks.

However, having made nine appearances since his arrival at the City Ground, the 27-year-old has now headed back to the Macron Stadium.

Trotter scored one goal for Forest when he fired in a late equaliser on debut against Ipswich Town.
