Stuart Pearce: 'Nottingham Forest won't sell star players'

Forest 'won't sell' star players

Nottingham Forest will not be forced to sell their most valuable youngsters, manager Stuart Pearce has insisted.

Two of Forest's young stars - goalkeeper Karl Darlow and centre-back Jamaal Lascelles - have been regularly linked with Premier League moves this summer, but Pearce is certain that he can keep hold of them.

Asked if the pair could be on their way to the top flight, Pearce told the Nottingham Post: "Not in the immediate future.

"When it comes to our better players, there is no chance [of them leaving] at the minute."

Queens Park Rangers are thought to have made an offer for 20-year-old Lascelles, while Darlow, 23, is believed to be a target of Arsenal's.
