Wednesday's Premier League predictions including Man City vs. Arsenal

Nott'm Forest vs. Brighton (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest will look to build on an improved performance against Liverpool when Brighton & Hove Albion visit the City Ground on Wednesday evening.

Steve Cooper's side suffered a 3-2 defeat at Anfield last time out, while the Seagulls endured penalty heartbreak against Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals.

We say: Nottingham Forest 1-2 Brighton & Hove Albion

Although Brighton will be fatigued after Sunday's marathon FA Cup showdown with Manchester United, De Zerbi's men should have enough in the tank to inflict a fifth successive defeat on Nottingham Forest.

The Tricky Trees invariably give visiting teams a run for their money on Trentside, but the hosts look set to fall short against the high-flying Seagulls, who are expected to notch a third victory in four Premier League outings.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

West Ham vs. Liverpool (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Two sides scoring goals for fun meet at the London Stadium for an intriguing Premier League contest on Wednesday night, as West Ham United play host to Liverpool.

David Moyes's team ran riot in a 4-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend, while their Merseyside counterparts scraped by Nottingham Forest in a five-goal Anfield thriller.

We say: West Ham United 2-2 Liverpool

With so much still on the line for two sides who have had few problems finding the back of the net in recent matches, an open and end-to-end encounter should ensue at the London Stadium, especially with Liverpool still prone to a defensive lapse or two.

As was the case in this fixture last season, clean sheets are unlikely to be on the menu, and we can picture West Ham holding out for a high-scoring draw as Liverpool's inconsistency on the road continues.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Chelsea vs. Brentford (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Two teams struggling for form do battle in a West London derby at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, as Chelsea play host to Brentford in the Premier League.

While the Blues are still searching for their first victory under caretaker boss Frank Lampard, the Bees are also yet to taste victory in the month of April.

We say: Chelsea 1-1 Brentford

Brentford have conceded in nine of their last 12 away games this season, which bodes well for a goal-shy Chelsea side who can ill-afford to drop any more points if they are to finish in the top half of the table, let alone keep their slip hopes of securing European qualification alive.

Six months on from the goalless stalemate between the two teams in the reverse fixture, another tight affair could be in store on Wednesday in which both sides may have to settle for a share of the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Man City vs. Arsenal (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

The chasing champions host the languishing leaders in the most highly-anticipated game of the Premier League calendar on Wednesday night, as Manchester City take on Arsenal in a top-of-the-table spectacular at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola's men eased past Sheffield United 3-0 to reach the FA Cup final over the weekend, prior to which the Gunners dropped more points in the title race in a 3-3 draw with Southampton.

We say: Manchester City 3-1 Arsenal

Given how crucial Saliba is to Arsenal's defensive and offensive style, his absence means that things could get ugly for the Gunners on Wednesday night, and fast.

The return of Xhaka will at least mean that Arsenal's midfield should not get bypassed in the manner that it did against Southampton, but a Man City side who just cannot stop scoring - or winning - at home should stroll to a comfortable victory to take a giant step towards dethroning their capital counterparts.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
