Birmingham manager Lee Clark has entered the race to sign Norwich City striker James Vaughan.
Vaughan had been expected to sign for Huddersfield but Clark is trying to hijack the move, according to The Mirror.
Clark is expected to sell Nicola Zigic in order to fund the £1m transfer.
A move to to his home city of Birmingham would be particularly attractive for the West Midlands-born striker.
